Roman Steele Books

The Roman Steele books are my interpretation of a modern-day spy espionage thriller series. The first book, The Russian Stratagem starts out a little different in the fact that it actually introduces the main character at the end of the book. Roman works for a secretive department called the Homeland International Threat Team and his job is to go all over the world investigating threats that could potentially harm the United States.

Imagine waking up in a small town in Alaska with a head injury and not remembering anything about yourself. You have no idea who you are, where you are, or how you got there. All you know is that the villagers adopted you and gave you the name “John,” as in John Doe.

While you heal, you and others in the community are drawn to the mysterious cube found in your belongings, the likes of which no one has ever seen before. Shortly it becomes apparent that somehow the cube is the key to unlocking who you really are.

One day, two people were found murdered in the nearby woods, and John was seen in the area. Being the main suspect, he was taken to the village lockup while the crime was investigated, and that is where his troubles really began.

John was forcibly abducted from lockup by men claiming to be US servicemen there to take him home, but they couldn’t have said anything further from the truth. John realized too little too late that his “saviors” were merely more sinister captors, intent on one thing—making him talk about the secrets of the cube using any means necessary. After breaking free of his captors using abilities he didn’t know he possessed, John is now on the run with the mysterious cube in an unknown land with one burning question. Who am I?

This is a tantalizing spy thriller that will surely keep you guessing as John uncovers the question of who he is and, more importantly, what the cube has to do with everything.

A mysterious blast rocks part of the Philippines, devastating a small seaside town very reminiscent of the explosion in Beirut years earlier. The explosion kills and injures many civilians in the area and does a large amount of damage to the seaside community. As a precaution, Roman Steele of the Homeland International Threat Team is sent to investigate and determine the cause to ensure there is no threat to the United States. What he finds is nothing short of terrifying.

After arriving in the Philippines, Roman realizes that something sinister is definitely going on, and the explosion was no accident. While working with a member of the Filipino Government, Roman and his new ally are attacked by a Filipino street gang on their way to interview a surviving witness to the explosion. The attack sets in motion a series of events that will have Roman wading through a sea of shell corporations, all run by one entity to hide the truth. It’s a journey that will take Roman on an eleven thousand-mile quest to find the truth, and what he finds is nothing short of bone-chilling.
